Illegal Chernobyl, The Road to Pripyat is the true story of how author, Simon Subex and his two companions Dave and James travelled to Ukraine to meet with locals who had agreed to take them on an illegal hike through the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone to visit the ghost city of Pripyat.
 
Join them in this journey as they face trouble with police in Kiev, evading security forces, being discovered by officials, exploring the ghost city of Pripyat and their daring escape.
 
Finally due to injury, dehydration and exhaustion, Simon, Dave and James rely upon their Ukrainian guides to provide “emergency extraction” in the form of what the locals call “the Chernobyl Rally”.
A highly illegal 32 kilometre, high speed car ride via the abandoned roads of the exclusion zone. Smashing through fallen trees, it’s a race against time to escape before the sunrises and security forces catch them.
